The Certificate / Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy Supervision - next course starting 29th September 2018 in North Yorkshire
The Certificate / Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy Supervision offers a comprehensive supervision training course for experienced counsellors and psychotherapists to develop and attain the knowledge and skills that are necessary to practice as effective, ethical and competent supervisors.
The course is underpinned by the Supervision Competence Framework and the BACP Supervision Training Curriculum
The course comprises of 14 taught sessions over 7 weekends between September 2018 and March 2019, with a final assessments taking place in June and December 2019 (pathway dependant).
The dates for the 2018-19 course are:
Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th September 2018
20th and 21st October
17th & 18th November
15th & 16th December
12th & 13th January 2019
9th & 10th February
9th & 10th March
Final assessment hand-in date for the Certificate pathway: Saturday 1st June 2019
Final assessment hand-in date for the Diploma pathway: Saturday 7th December 2019
Students are required to undertake supervision practice hours with their own supervisees in-between the course sessions and to engage in supervision consultancy with a Suparna approved supervisor. The number of hours of supervision practice that are required is dependent upon the pathway taken i.e. Certificate or Diploma. Please open the Course Document below for further details.
Who is this course for?
The Suparna Certificate / Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy Supervision is for experienced counsellors and psychotherapists who are currently in practice and who wish to enhance their skills by supervising other practitioners. Applicants for the course will need to have been qualified for at least three years and will have completed at least 450 hours of counselling/psychotherapy practice. The course is well suited to therapists who are either new to supervision or who have already been providing supervision but who wish to further develop their practice.
Where will this course take place?
The course has previously taken place at a therapy centre in central Harrogate, within 3 minutes walk of the bus and train station and with plenty of pay and display parking facilities nearby. The location for the course in 2018 will depend on student numbers and so this is to be confirmed.
